Fann Street Clarendon

The Clarendon was one of the last new developments of the nineteenth century. Introduced by the Fann Street foundry first in condensed variants, they were the first typeface ever to be patented, though few other foundries bothered to respect this. This typeface was redrawn for Harper’s Bazaar. From the original bold and light weights, a hairline and a thin were added.
